Dissecting Your Thoughts and How It Help the Release of Feeling Stuck.

UGH! What a thought just thinking about thinking about my thoughts. 

 

Is this what goes through your mind when you read this?

 

Well, lets get real here together. 

 

Your thoughts are what has allowed you to get the results you are getting today! 

 

Reality is real. 

 

So... how did that happen? 

 

Life happened, and if you are here reading this, it means something inside of you is stirring, awakening and egging you on to change and be who you truly are meant to be. 

 

I can look back and see the choices I made in my life and know that was a defining moment in my path.

 

So can you. 

 

So many people focus on the pain the past causes. 

 

Ok... I can respect that... 

 

But here is what I am going to offer you, when you look at your past. 

 

Nothing from your past can be in your present or future unless you allow it. 

 

Which means dissecting your thoughts to understand the feeling it brings means you can choose to change the way you think about it to get the feeling you want today. 

 

Using The D.E.B.A.R. Method will help you with this process with ease. 

 

To dissect your thoughts, grab a piece of paper, and write anything that is not working for you right now. 

 

This could be anything from there is not enough time to get the housework done to my husband is verbally abusive. 

 

It doesn't matter what it is. Put all your thoughts on paper. Allow yourself to be free of judgement towards yourself of just being you for this exercise.  

 

You may be surprised what comes up for you. 

 

Having the list in front of you on paper makes it real, yes I understand that, yet you might be able to see small things that you can change immediately on your thinking and choose another thought towards it. 

 

Maybe there is something that you think is controlling you yet you have no control over it in the first place.

 

Other people's actions, other people's words, the weather, the blooming flowers. 

 

You can ONLY control you. 

 

No one can hurt your feelings unless you allow yourself the thought to feel that hurt. 

 

The saying "You hurt my feelings" give the power to the other person, and it is like saying, ok now do everything I say to make me happy. Only you can make YOU happy. Anything else gives your power away. 

 

It sounds silly when it is put in that context but people do this on a daily basis.

 

So with that being said, keep your list going and write down your thoughts. Use it as a positive release from mind to paper. 

 

Remember to be kind to yourself when doing this process. No not allow the feeling to become overwhelming. Instead be proud of your commitment to move forward from being stuck to unstuck.  

 

This is just step 1 to becoming unstuck. 

 

Let's face it, that is what we all want in life, right!
